Pine Grove Hall Singer-Songwriter Sessions By Jim Allford

PINE GROVE HALL has been open since June of 2020 and it thrives on great food and live music. Liv Grove is the Proprietor of the establishment and grew up in State College. She, also, worked for Chrysalis Records. She, also, loves to have live music at her venue and giving artists and bands a chance to play their original music. The seating is very limited and she highly recommends making a reservation. Please check out the PINE GROVE HALL on the web and other sites.

HANNAH BINGMAN is quite a delight to listen to. She adds a sense of humor to her stage presence and is quite an amazing storyteller. Her songs are all about circumstances you can relate to and so much more. She is a true life showman and has been doing this for years. She tells about her adventures hiking the Appalachian trail and things that have happened to her along the way. She lived in Huntingdon, Pa along with her husband and her cats. In fact, she even sings a song about her one cat, which she loves dearly. I highly recommend, if you ever get a chance to see her play live, make plans to do it.Also, please check out her music on the web and enjoy her songs. They are bound 'to hit home' with you.

BILL RYAN is another amazing storyteller. He tells about his times as a fireman and the trials and tribulation to become one in his songs. He was a two time Pennsylvania Heritage Songwriter Contest winner for his songs. He also plays with a band called, Caledonia. You have to listen close to his songs which are very heartfelt and will hit you close to your heart. He sings about love and all different types of episodes that can happen in your life. He writes songs when he has anxiety and believes sometimes when that happens the best songs come out of him. He mentions how sometimes that songs just flow right out of him and the songwriting become seasy. You can find him on the website and please check his music.

NATE CUTSHALL

JACK MANGENE

This was Jack's debut night to play at Pine Grove Hall and he was so very honored to play along with the other songwriters. He made quite a very impressive debut with his amazing songwriting and his stories. He sang about a crush he had on a girl at one time and she just blew him off. He, also, sang songs about the love in his life and how music became a big part of his life. He expressed how so many people his age get on the wrong track and they never come back and how sorry he felt for them. He said many things that people should think about before they take any action . He mentioned that he was only 23 years old and how lucky he was to find music in life to fill the empty gaps in his life. He is definitely an artist to be on the lookout in the very near future!

I would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to Liz Grove for the invitation and to Luke Cimbala for the pictures I used in the write up. Also, to all the singers/ songwriters for pulling in such an amazing show. I was very honored to see you play and I hope to see you again in the near future. Very Kind Regards, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
