GEORGE HRAB: TERPSICHORE

GEORGE HRAB is quite a Renaissance man that hails from Bethlehem, Pa. The reason I say he's a Renaissance man is that he has done so many incredible things in his life.

Terpsichore is a live concert film released by the likes of Duke Ellington's A-Train and Zappa's Zombie Woof. George has also played drums for The Philadelphia Funk Authority, and has his own Geologic Podcast.

The musicians that played on the 8th album release are: GEORGE HRAB-Guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion and vocals; SLAU/MILTON MERMIKIDES-Guitar;NEIL WETZEL-Saxophone; MATT ASTI-Piano, synths, organ, clavinova; DAVE PAINCHAUD-Brass and brass arrangements; plus, KIERA WILLIAMS, RAYA MICHELLE, DINA HALL, DALE GERHART-Vocals.

This 14 song CD was mixed, mastered, recorded, and engineered by Slau, and Produced by George Hrab. On this album there are different interludes of  the title of this album, and there are four different levels to hear, which prove to be quite interesting.

STOP SHOUTING reminds of the Dave Matthews Band with a dose of Sting which is quite nice to hear. Check it out. A LITTLE TOO LITTLE TOO LATE is a great change, with having Devo vibes and a bit of funk added to it. This one will get in your head. WHITE NOISE has the favor of the Average White Band which is pure funk with a jazzy flavor. Crank this one up.

PRETTY AWFUL is quite impressive with the favors of Earth, Wind and Fire and the best funky music I've heard in a long time. This song is so, so sweet. ONCE I'M FAMOUS & RICH is a great rap song that you'd never expect. I think it has THE TUBES feel to it. This one is a true gem. DROWNING [NOT] DROWNING brings this very impressive album to an end.

Check it out for yourself. I want to give GEORGE HRAB for being in touch. You can find George Hrab at: You tube, http://georgehrab.com. Soundcloud, X, Facebook, Wikipedia, Bandcamp, Instagram, PseudoPod and other sites. ROCK ON , JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE]
