SHINE ON: A TRIBUTE TO PETE HAM

BADFINGER: The band has quite a history and had very close connections with The Beatles throughout the years. The band. also, have quite a tragic history in rock 'n' roll. The band has had two major losses over the years with Pete Ham in 1975 and Tom Evans in 1983.

This 35 song double CD is dedicated to Peter Ham. The cast of players on this CD includes Rob Bonfoglo, Wreckless Eric and Amy Rigby, Melanie, Ken Sharp and a cast of many other musicians.

The Executive Producers are: Rich Ulloa, Don Sarley and Jim Wurster. and Mastered by Zach Ziskin. All songs written  by Pete Ham except* written by Pete Ham and Tom Evans.

NO MORE kicks off this CD sung by MARY LEE KORTES which is well done and, she really does justice to the song. Worth a  listen. SHINE ON is done by SMOKIN' NOVAS and they really do the song justice and the guitar work and harmonies are great to hear.

SHELBY LYNNE does her version of DAY AFTER DAY which is a bit different from the original, but the guitar work is the very same as the original record. I find this song quite enjoyable.

BABY BLUE is sung by MARY LOU LORD is done quite well and the guitar work is quite a standout by itself. Sweet to the ears, TIMOTHY LAROUQE sings I'M IN LOVE which has an old time feeling to it and you could feel yourself swaying away to it. This one is surely great to hear.

THE SPEAKER WARS sings NO MATTER WHAT which has  a 'raw' intro and then the band kicks into full gear which is great. Job well done. MIC HARRISON & THE HIGH SCORE sings MEANWHILE BACK AT THE RANCH and they do quite an interesting version of it as MIC'S vocals are a standout in itself.

MELANIE sings WITHOUT YOU and definitely makes it her song and I find it superb. There are many more songs to listen to, but I'll let you make your own judgement on those songs. I know you'll love this double CD, regardless. You can find SHINE ON: A TRIBUTE TO PETE HAM at: You Tube, Pandora, iHeart, Deezer and Apple Music. Amazon, Tik Tok, Facebook and Y&T Music . ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTESMAGAZINE.]
