KATY MOFFATT hails from Fort Worth, Texas and was influenced by many British bands. She was inspired by many folk artists such as Dave Van Ronk, Tracey Nelson, Judy Collins and many others.
This two CD 33 song set is made up of Folk, Country Blues, Rock and 'Roots' music. Katy is accompanied by her Guitarist/Producer Andrew Hardin throughout her years which makes a statement by itself.
This CD collection features great songs by Nick Lowe, David Olney, John Hiatt, Cole Porter, Chris Smithers and a few others. Katy's voice is quite outstanding and you cannot help but fall in love with her.
CARNIVAL MAN starts off Disc 1 which is laid back and about being heartbroken by a 'careless loving man' and the lessons learned. WALKIN' ON THE MOON is superb as the melody with remind you a song you heard once before. You'll love this song.
MR. BANKER is quite a very impressive blues song with some sweet slide guitar throughout the song. This song will chill you through your bones. Turn it up loud. ANGEL TOWN is a sweet song that be everlasting in your heart. You'll be able to relate to this song so well. The melody is a real ear catcher!
Disc 2 starts out with a song I'm sure your know titled, YOU DON'T KNOW ME. Katy's version is very laid back and will take away from everything. STILL LOVE is another heartbreaking song which you'll have to listen to very closely. Close your eyes and let her take you away.
MIDWESTER has a cowboy tale to it with a great country music favor which is quite nice to hear. This is great CD on all levels and worth having in your collection.
