THE FURIES are one of those bands to keep an eye out for. The band members hail from all over the country from Providence, Maine to New York City. The already shared the stage with Howie Day, The Indigo Girls, Joan Baez and Big Scary , just to name a few. The band members the OMENS EP are : LEE MORETTI: Lead vocals/guitar; EDEN RAYZ: Cello; SONYA RAE TAYLOR: Lead guitar, vocals; KATE BILINSKI: Bass and JoBeth Umali: Drums. They recorded this 6 song EP at Wooly Mammoth Sound, Waltham, Ma. Produced by DAVE MINEHAN, Mixed by SEAN BERESFORD and Mastered by SHAWN HATFIELD. LEE MORETTI formed the band after coming fresh of the road as THIRD EYE BLIND’s multi-instrumentalist and background vocalist. They were awarded the 2018 NEW ENGLAND MUSIC AWARD for ‘BEST IN STATE’! The EP starts out with a song titled, HUNTER , which has a magnificent guitar intro. What a grand way to start a EP. The band is beyond tight as they interlude themselves throughout the song. BURY ME DOWN is straightforward rock and roll as the vocals and harmonies are strong. You’ll fall in love with this song in a minute. TROUBLEMAKER has a different kind of laid back intro and then, BAM, they start rocking out. The bridge in the song is really great as they have you wanting more. PROMISES ends the EP which has another great intro as they have you hooked on their sound. They, definitely, have a sound of their own, which says a lot these days. They are surely a ‘stand out’!
