Rally In The Valley – May 19th

On Sunday, May 19th the annual Rally in the Valley music festival will take place in a new venue with a great lineup of musicians and guests.

This day long free festival (12pm-5pm),  held this year at ArtsQuest ,101 Founders Way Bethlehem PA, is sponsored by Sync Recovery Community.  The mission of the days event is to gather together and celebrate recovery and remove the stigma associated with it. The atmosphere is intended to encourage those hiding their addiction disorders, to  seek guidance, and encouragement from those already in recovery.  And what better way to bring people together than GREAT MUSIC! This free, family event encourages the community to embrace itself and join together in this mission. 

This year the performers will be as follows:

Wycked Sober - Rock and roll band who met in recovery and decided to just start jamming together.  Steel Waves Radio met with the band last year to interview them after their amazing set.  Check out the interview here:

Their lineup for this event is as follows:

Jackie Kalavoda - Vocals (original member)

Gary Kromer - Guitar and Vocals (original member)

Drew Perkins - Guitar and Vocals (original member)

Dan Lacey - Drums and Vocals (new permanent drummer)

and special guest, Ron Coleman - Bass and Vocals (Do-wop legend from back in the day and fill in bassist for the rally)

Also performing is the powerhouse party music band, Philadelphia Funk Authority.  This 10 person band of musicians have been making the party happen for years - and I dare PFA's Lineup:
