TOMMY GUNN aka Tommy Grassley grew up around rock music in Canada all his life. His father played saxophone in a well-known Canadian band called Crowbar. Also, as it turns out Rod Stewart is his cousin from his mother's side of the family.
In 2013, he released his first LP titled, Unleash The Hounds in which he collaborated with Eddie Kramer, Dale Harrison and Greg Godobitz and other name Producers. In California Way he included some very well known musicians such as: Gregg Bissonette, Lawrence Juber, Richard T. Bear Gerstein and many other name musicians.
This album was Produced by Mikal Blue, who is a Grammy award producer and engineer, etc..! CALIFORNIA WAY is a great song and the video in itself shows and tells it all. The music is spot on as you get great views of California in the video. The song has great lyrics and a melody that could stay in your head for weeks.
HOLLYWOOD FANTA SEA states it all in the title. The song is as strong as ever as the melody is so, so sweet. I must admit, I really love the guitar work in this song as it has a raw type of sound, which is supercool to hear. Could this song be 'hit bound'?
TOPANGA CANYON is exactly what the song is about. The music is super solid and in your face from the very first note. This song is super cool as the hooks are everywhere in this song. I love it. WON'T YOU TELL ME is a laid back song and listen closely to the lyrics. This song is bound to hit home with a lot of people.
