ALLIGATOR RECORDS presents: TINSLEY ELLIS in his first -ever solo acoustic album on his 1969 Martin D-35 guitar which was a gift from father. This 12 song CD/Vinyl was Produced by Tinsley Ellis and Mixed and Mastered by Tony Terrebonne except 'Death Letter Blues' which was Produced by Eddie 9V and Mixed by Lane Kelly.
The album will take you back to the 'pure blues' as it was played by all the greats like: Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Son House and numerous known blues guitarists. DEVIL IN THE ROOM kicks off this CD which is quite a treat. His vocals shine throughout the song as his epic guitar work has your rockin'. Great way to kick off a blues album.
DEATH LETTER BLUES will take you down to the bayou where people live off the swamp and where their heart and soul is. You'll love this and turn it up. DON'T GO NO FURTHER is a sweet three chord song that will have you tapping your shoes throughout the song. I love this one a lot.
HOOCHIE MAMA goes right to the bone with a raw, laid back guitar work that will take you to another place. Close your eyes and feel every note played and listen to his vocals hit you right in the heart. This is quite a gem, to say the least. GROWN ASS MAN is a great uptempo song and listen close to the lyrics, you might be able to relate. Once again, his amazing guitar work is a true highlight as he sings straight from his heart. I must admit, this CD is truly a 'masterpiece' and for all true blues people to hear. Also, this CD won't be release until FEB 9, 2024.
