THE WEEKLINGS are quite an interesting band with band members you might have heard of over the years. This is their Christmas album to you. There are 16 songs on this album and there's something for everybody to hear.
The band has very many guests that played on this album which are too numerous to mention. The band is: GLEN "LEFTY" BURTNICK-Vocals, guitars, bass; BOB "ZEEK" BURGER-Vocals, bass, rhythm guitar; JOHN "ROCKY" MERJAVE-Vocals, lead guitar and JOE "SMOKESTACK" BELLIA-Vocals, drums, percussion.
Also, starring The Ocean Avenue Stompers Horn Section and the Red Ryder BB Gun Singers Choir. This album was Recorded and Mixed at: 17TH Ave Productions and Renegade Studios and Engineered By Plink Giglio, Geoff Sanoff, Nick Semanchik, Kurt Reil and The Weekings.
JOY kicks off this album with an excellent guitar instrumental that is quite impressive. Put your dancing shoes on for this song and play it loud. WOW! GONNA BE CHRISTMAS is a supercool song as the intro shows off their great harmonies and as they repeat the title of the song.
Nevertheless, this song is superb and will get your head. Check it out. MUST BE SANTA has a super heavy sound that is worth blasting up for all the neighbors to hear. I'm quite sure heavy metal heads would love this song. The vocals are spot on throughout the song. Nice.
FESTIVUS has a funky, jive-like feel that will have you funking out at the beat. Shake that thing all about and round and round. Making Jame Brown proud. RUN RUDOLPH RUN is that all time classic rock song for Christmas which many artists and bands played. Rock out and enjoy this one.
I love that Rockpile vibe. Great. DREIDEL is a real treat that you will least expect. Surprise to all. BABY GOT SOMETHING FOR ME reminds me of a song that the Beatles would have done. Cool.
ANOTHER YEAR brings this excellent album to an end with a song that has a Eagles type of vibe as the melody and lyrics will have you dancing to this one. This song is another must to hear because it is quite a GEM. I'd like to THANK MAURREN from JEM RECORDS for being in touch. You can find this album at Jem Records, Pandora, Apple Music, Amazon Music and other sites. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
