THE UPSTART CROWS is a 2 member band that hails from Brooklyn, NY. The members are: JONATHAN ADAMS:Vocals, guitar and keyboards and FOREST DECOST: Bass and drums. Their 12 song CD was mixed and mastered by Michael Abiouso and was recorded by Matt Basile.BAD MEDICINE kicks off their CD with a distorted guitar and raging vocals. I must admit, the song gets to you.DIXIE WALAIN has a great intro and then goes into a great punkish song. The melody is great, to say the least. MERCURY KISSES starts out with a great riff and then goes into a funky rhythm. This song is sweet. LYING & CRYING is pretty heavy on the distorted guitar and the 3 chord progression as they are zoning out on each other. Worth a listen. NICE GUY is kept simple as the guitar riff is heavy once again. They, definitely. have a zone that they can call their own. WAIT FOR ME brings the CD to then end as it's laid back a bit and he sings his heart out to you. I must say, these two mix together well. You can find the band on: Bandcamp and Facebook.
