THE REAL NUMBERS is a four piece band that hails from San Francisco, Calif. The band has been together since 2007 and been through many ups and downs. "This is believed to be their final album with quite a few guest appearances including Jellyfish's Roger Joseph Manning Jr and Tim Smith."
The band members are: Lawrence Grodeska-Lead vocals, guitar; Dave Ambrose-Guitar, keyboards, backing vocals; Chuck Londo-Bass, backing vocals; Robert Tucker-Drums with various guests playing on this album.
This 11 song Album was Produced by Dave Ambrose and The Real Numbers and Mixed and Engineered by Andy Freeman and Mastered by Alex Lowe. LUCY'S IN LOVE kicks off this CD with quite an interesting intro and some interesting brass section.
The song has an old '60's sound like The Box Tops and The Buckingham's which is so cool to hear.I love it. LYDIA PINKHAM has a British pop music feel to it with a very catchy melody and great lyrics. The vocals are quite amazing. This is pop music at its best ever.
NEWS OF THE DAY is laid back and sounds like a true love song. The melody is perfect as the song goes on. I love the guitar riff and the feel of it. HELLO WORLD is quite a standout as he sings his heart to you and he wants you to listen close to the song. This song will grab your heart and might even bring you to tears. A true classic.
SMILE has the feel of The Left Banke band with a dose of The Beach Boys added that you might be familiar with. Check this one out. SOUVENIRS brings this album to an end which has a whole new feel as it brings their journey to an end.This is how they want to be remembered. This is one band to remember.
