THE MIGHTY ONE is a five piece metal band that hails from Vancouver, Canada. The band has been around since 2007 and in 2023 was named, "BAND OF THE YEAR' in 2023 at the International Singer Songwriter Awards in Atlanta, Georgia.
The band members are: TIM STEINRUCK-Lead vocals, guitar' RANDT ROBERTSON-Lead guitar; JAMES MEYER-Keyboards; CHRIS CAMPBELL-Bass and BON WAGNER-Drums. This 10 song CD was Produced by The Mighty One and Mixed and Mastered by Dave Padden.
COMING ON kicks off this CD with a very impressive song with some of the best rock vocals I heard in a long time. Once you get a taste of this band there is no doubt you'll want more. Great song.
TORCH OF ROCK AND ROLL the theme song from the album is quite a great song. Their vocals and harmonies are quite a stand out with the band. They do have reflections of Def Leppard and other hard rock bands. You have to get your taste for them.
DISRUPTOR is great as the band once again kicks you in the face with their non stop, pounding beats in your face. At one point, they change their guitar riff which is done great. I love it. MASTER OF REALITY is pure pounding away at you as they change their pace in the song as the lyrics are sung clear as day, which says a lot. Check this song out for yourself.
MY GARDEN is superb as it reminds me a bit of Judas Priest meets Scorpions which says a lot. This song will , definitely, have a hold on you. Crank it up LOUD. WHEN THIS IS OVER brings this CD to an end and is as powerful as ever. I must admit, they have the best rock harmonies I heard in a long time and this is one quite impressive metal band.
