THE LOWEST PAIR is an interesting duo that met by chance. They both met while on tour in the Midwest on the banks of the Mississippi during a festival. One was born and raised in Arkansas as the other came from Minneapolis. They named the band from a John Harford song, which they both loved.
Also, one night while sitting around the campfire with two friends that played instruments, they started jamming and they became SMALL TOWN THERAPY. Let me introduce the band: The Lowest Pair is:Kendl Winter-Vocals, guitar; Palmer T. Lee-Banjo:Small Town Therapy; Leif Karlstrom-Violin/mandolin; Adam Roszkiewicz-Guitar, mandolin, E-guitar, E-bass: Guests include Charlie Muesch/Erin Youngberg-Bass; Bart Budwing-Vocal, Trumpet and Tony Sales-Drums.
This 11 song album was Produced by The Lowest Pair and Small Town Therapy and Engineered by Bart Budwig, Mixed by Aaron Youngberg and Mastered by Justin Perkins. Now, sit down and relax and listen to some of the best bluegrass/folk music you might ever hear.
THIS HOUSE kicks off this album with some very sweet guitar pickin' that will take you into a different zone. The melody is great as you can feel the vibe. Enjoy. CHANDELIER had a bit of a country rock taste as the band is as tight as ever and the vocals are as great as ever. The melody and lyrics will definitely get to you and might even start singing along. Great.DARK DIVIDE seems to have a cajun feel to it as they take you into the backwoods when there are no rules and laws. Do you see them dancin' on the porch? I do.
So sweet. MT. RAINIER starts out with some superb harmonies as things are slowed down a bit. Wave your hands up in the air and float away in this song. I love it. I WISHED IT IN A SONG reminds me a bit of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band a bit as their playing stands out and the vocals are purely superb throughout the song. Check it out.
TONGUE MOUNTAIN brings an end to this amazing album that folk musicians would truly love to hear. This album is flawless and a real treat to the ear. Thank you Krista. You can find the band at: Bandcamp, Deezer, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and other sites. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
