THE FIRST STREET BELIEF is a one man that hails from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The artist's name is Jon Keeling and his music stands out on its own.
John does all the vocals and plays guitar and other various instruments on this E.P The 4 songs on this EP were Mixed, Mastered and Produced by Nguyen Dang Khao- [From Blue to Black & Tell] and Luis Zapiola-[Relief and Love Lost].
TELL is his latest release and is purely a rock song that has a great intro as things seem to get shuffled along in the song. You have to listen close to the lyrics as he emphasizes that he has something to tell you.
FROM BLACK TO BLUE is a nice song but his vocals have to be desired as it seems he strains in his songs. The music itself isn't bad at all and the melodies are pretty strong. The lyrics fit in well with his melodies, which isn't bad.
RELIEF takes quite a different approach to his music as it's a acoustic song which is quite nice. I must admit, this song reminds of a song that The Replacements could be playing. This song is quite a gem and is quite outstanding. Great job.
LOVE LOST brings this Ep to an end where it seems he really found his groove: the melody and lyrics all fit well together. I really believe The Replacements had a huge influence on him and it shows throughout his music. I'd like to THANK JON for being in touch. You can find The First Street Belief at You tube, Facebook, Apple Music, Amazon and other sites. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
