SUNUP: THE KEY ISF LOVE

SUNUP is quite an interesting band that hails from Rochester, N.Y. The band has quite a history and band members throughout the years. They have always been a contemporary folk rock band in their own right.

The band members are: GERRY MANUEL: Acoustic/electric guitar, harmonica, bass, percussion; JAMES 'GOON" WILSON-Vocals, acoustic guitar; BRIAN SOULE-Keyboards, percussion, bass; Kerry Peterson/Charlie Castilano-Bass and various special guests appeared on this. Their 11 song album has been Produced by Gerrt Manuel and Engineered by Mick Guzauski.

THE KEY IS LOVE is a sweet song which has a country rock type of feel that could remind you of the early Eagles. The lyrics are very clear as the melody is easy to get hooked on. This is quite a strong song by the band. Check them out.

TAKE SOME TIME is a really laid back song that has great lyrics and will give you something to think about. Listen close to the lyrics and you might be able to relate to this song. This is a very heartfelt song that could bring you to tears. WOW! So sweet.

STANDING AT THE EDGE OF LIFE has amazing harmonies as the vocals are quite a standout in this song. This song is quite different from the other songs I heard of the band. Quite interesting.

OUT ON THE FARM [feat. Arron Lipp] is a great country song that has great lyrics and a sweet fiddle player and more in the song. The guitar riffs are great and this song is quite a standout. Check it out.

HELLO IN THERE is a sweet song with excellent lyrics as the vocals remind of Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary, which is quite impressive. This song is a must to hear and the lyrics tell a great story. Impressive.

I have to end the music review with a song, or should I say sound effects called, GALLOP, which is sounds from a horse race. I love it. I'd like to THANK GARY for being in touch. You can find the band at: You tube, www.sunflaresongs.com. Apple Music, Soundcloud, Instagram and other sites. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
