STEVE ALMAAS: EVERYWHERE YOU’VE BEEN

STEVE ALMAAS is well noted for being in the first original punk band from the Twin Cities called the "Suicide Commandos'. This is Steve's sixth solo album with quite an array of amazing musicians behind him.

The musicians are: Steve Almaas-Guitar, bass, ukulele, baritone guitar  Kenny Vaughan- Guitar: Mitch Easter; Guitar;  Jon Garboff: Steel guitar; Mark Sidgwick-Bass Tony Garner-Stand Up Bass, Charly Roth-Keyboards; Paul Scher-Sax; TJ Maiani-Drums and Gary Louris/Daria Grave/ Vibeke Suagestad on harmonies.

This 12 song CD/Album was Produced by Mario Vielo and mixed by Mitch Easter. EVERYWHERE YOU'VE BEEN kicks off this album with very impressive harmonies. This song is like the Everly Brothers meets the Flying Burrito Brother which is quite a joy to the ears.

SOMEWAY, SOMEHOW, SOMEWHERE is a great forward rock and roll song that will have you singing along within minutes.DOWN BY THE LAKE is a very heartfelt song which   will stay in your head for days. The harmonies are amazing on this song. THREE WOMEN will have you reminiscing of the great ballads of the 60's that will take you back in time which you'll want to hold onto for a while.

YOU'RE THE ONE FOR ME reminds me of one of the NRBQ songs with a sweet melody that will stay in your head for hours. THE ONE THING I CANNOT DO ends this amazing album. The melody will ,definitely, get into our head once again and will stay there for days. I must admit, this is one very epic album. I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Steve Almaas for being in touch with me.
