RUFUS LEE KING AND THE DREAM is two man surf power pop band that hails from Hershey, Pa. I must admit, I find this band very intriguing since they come from Hershey, Pa.I wonder what inspired them to become a surf rock band in that area?
The band is: EDDIE KOSOFF-Vocals and STEVE MCNULTY-Guitar, bass and Drums created through Garageband. This 10 song CD was Mixed, Mastered and Produced by Steve McNulty. DARK ROAD kicks off this CD which is an instrumental. This intro just gives you a taste of the band.
MOTORCYCLE LOUIE is the basic three chord riff with the reverb guitar clashing in the background. Check out the lyrics, they are quite interesting. SISTER MARY SUNSHINE has a punk rock sound to it with a surf music twang to it. I like this song. The lyrics are really fun.
TORTURED has the same guitar riff as the other songs which are the basic three chords.The lyrics prevail to be quite interesting which saves this song. I heard that reverb guitar once again. MAN FROM SPOKANE brings this CD to an end with a different beat and whole new sound. I must admit, this song is really a thrill and can make you laugh a bit. This is the highlight of the whole album.
