RICH PARISH grew up in Brooklyn, New York and since then has relocated to Catskills, New York. During his early years he played guitar in a rock band called Graven Images but was always intrigued by the likes of Brian Eno, Philip Glass, Robert Fripp and several others.
He considers his music to be a mix of classical and ambient music and contemporary minimalist music. The musicians on this album are: Rich Parish- Composer; Marc Wolf-Guitar; Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf-Cello and Jai Jeffryes-Piano. SHADOWS IN FOG starts off this album which will leave you silent as you listen quietly as each note is played. The guitar will sweep you away to another time and place in your life. Close your eyes and just drift away as the music will carry you there. Can you feel it?
INK IN WATER once again will take your mind to a zone of your own and make you meditate even deeper. Your thoughts will carry you away once again as you hear every note and feel the tone of the guitar. You will transcend to a place to a place that has always been in your mind. Listen close and deep.
RAVENS IN MOONLIGHT is another classical type song that will take you on a ride of emotions that always runs through you at sometime in your life. This song will take you to a peaceful place and will let your mind run free. This song is quite a gem.
ALL ROADS LEAD TO MADNESS, you know what a title like that shows there's a piece of that in everyone of us. You really need to close as each note is played as the music begins to talk to you, but yet you have no answer. I find this EP totally amazing as it gets in your head and your heart.
