ORANGE MAMMOTH is a four piece band that hails from Pittsburgh, Pa.The band has been playing festivals and toured with such bands like Lady Lamb and The Love Language.
The band members are: CHRIS ROWE-Vocals, Keyboards, Rhythm guitar; HOWARD BRUMBERG-Lead guitar; DARREN HAMMEL-Bass and MIKE SMALES-Drums. This 7 song CD was Recorded, Mixed and Mastered by AppleKid Recordings in Oakmont, Pa. I'd like to mention the band has released 4 other CD's previous to this release.
FIRE kicks off this CD with quite an impressive melody and a sweet melody. I must admit, this song deserves a lot of airplay. FADE has a great beat and the vocals are right on target as the melody is repeated over and over again. I must admit, it's a very strong song and worth hearing.
REMEMBER brings a different feel to the band in a more rock and roll touch of the band. They remind me a bit of the Human League meets MEW with a bit of Soft Cell thrown in. There is not too often you hear a band with that combination into one.BLANK STARE brings this great CD to an end.
