This 11 song album was Produced and Engineered by Ryan Wheeler and Mastered by Tom Garneau and Recorded by Rich Mattson. KEEP YOUR LAMPS TRIMMED AND BURNING is a super great song to kick off this album. I love that old time bluesy feel to this song as it just flows along at a sweet, soulful pace. I love it. WOW!
BIRDS AND BEES has a rockish pace to it as the harmonies will surely blow you away. I must admit, vocals remind me a bit of Maria Muldaur in this song as Jill sings the lead vocals on this song. Epic song. NIGHTS OF JULY has a laid back pace as the strumming is keeping a steady pace as Jill, once again, takes the lead vocals on this song. You can actually feel her sing this song to you, bearing her soul to you. Superb song.
SWALLOW JIG is the Irish song that many can relate to as it shows how versatile the band is and what they can play. Get up and dance to this one. DIG A HOLE IN THE MEADOWS [Darlin Cory] shows their amazing harmonies in this song as the melody and lyrics will surely have you singing along with this song. Crank it up.
TIME FOR A CHANGE reminds me of a John Mayall song as the harmonica stands out in this song. The beat is fast paced as it will have your hand patting your legs in this song. So cool.
THUNDER brings this amazing album to end with a soulful song that will carry you away and then some. I must admit, this album is flawless in every way and MUST to have. I'd like to THANK KRISTA for the great connection. You can find the band on You tube, Bandcamp, Facebook and other sites. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
