MEMORY COLLECTOR AKA as Sascha Frost,is a solo artist that hailed from Altoona, Pa. He has been an independent solo artist since 2009. He also is one of the originators of the Mass N Tha Festival that has been held in Sinking Valley, Pa for the past five years.
He is a pioneer of alternative electronics music in the local area and is craving a name out for himself. He plays guitar, bass, drum beats, synthesizers which he programs himself and does all the vocals on his songs. He has, also, Mixed, Mastered and Produced all his music.
On this 5 song EP he starts out with a song titled, DAYWALKER, which is quite intriguing. The melody is made up of different grooves as they all intertwine with each other. I must admit, this song has a great flow to it and all comes together nicely. Very cool.
SHRINE is on a whole new different level as the beats are on right as the distorted bass sound as the perfect groove. This song is easy to dance to and you can just feel the waves in the song. Pretty high impact on this song. Sweet. MIDNIGHT FORTRESS starts out a bit mellow as the beats come in hard and solid.
The stages in this song are quite amazing as it could get your head spinning if you listen close enough. I love how there are a few spacey parts in the song, but it's not overdone and it fits all together well. I would consider this EP quite a gem in alternative electronic music. Please check it.
