LOST ART is a South Jersey/ Philly band that has been around since the 1980's.There music is a combination of folk rock, blues, psychedelic '60 with a flair of jazz/punk to boot. The band is: ALEX PEPIAK- Guitar, vocals and SUE PEPIAK-Bass and BRYAN COOPER-Percussion and other musicians that fill on occasions.
This 14 song CD was Recorded at Gradwell Studio's. HOME kicks off this CD which has a great Neil Young type of feel and his vocals on this song really show through. Nice intro to start with. BEAUTIFUL BRIDE sounds like a true love up-tempo song where he loves everything around him. You have to check this one for yourself.
WORDS I NEVER SAID tells you his story in which he was accused of saying things he never did say. I think most of us have been there a few times. THIS TIME has a intro that reminds me Down By The River by Neil Young than he adds a nice twist to the song and some pretty cool lyrics, too.
I'M FREE is quite nice and it seems it shows the dark side of life in general. He sounds very tired of all the b.s. that everyone has to put up with it everyday. FASTER THAN ANGELS is a great song with a great melody and lyrics that really will hit home with you. I must admit, hearing the simple chords played and a laid back chorus is quite a delight. This is a MUST SONG to hear.
CITY INVINCIBLE tells the stories of living in the city and trials and tribulations of living there. Once again, the melody and lyrics are amazing and he tells stories in which so many people can relate to. I want to Thank ALEX PEPIAK for being in touch.
