JOHN ROY ZAT: WHERE ZAT

JOHN ROY ZAT lives quite an interesting life. He was born in Paris, grew up in Washington D.C., Saigon, Cannes, Bangkok and Southern California.

He has quite a few musicians that played on this 10 song CD, which includes Ron Carter on Bass. John is Northern California fiddler, singer and songwriter and in 1997 he played fiddle for Kate Wolfe.

The 10  song Folk/Americana  CD was Mixed by Ed Tree, Produced by John Croizat  and Mastered by Rainier Gembalczyk. All the other musicians played courtesy of PG Music and Band in the Box.

AMERICAN DREAM CAFE starts out this CD which has a nice flow and sweet melody that will bring a smile to your face. His vocals remind me a bit of Arlo Guthrie which is quite a treat.

I'M A SALMON IN A RIVER is leaving quite a mark in the folk music genre. This one would make Brewer and Shipley proud.  You have to give this one a real listen.

WELL, WELL,WELL is sweet down home music that has a favor of the bayou. This one will get in your head and you'll want to listen to it over and over again. Turn it up and listen closely.

EXCEPT FOR THAT ONE THING is quite an epic song about when opposites attract to each other, yet they get along off and on. The lyrics are a real treat and this would make Charlie Daniels proud.

LET'S THE LONG WAY HOME brings this great CD to an end and it's, definitely, a sing along song that will make you smile from ear to ear. Don't you wonder why he wants to take the long way home? Give it a listen and find out.

Also, I want to give a big Thank you to Anne Leighton for being in touch and being so kind. You can find JOHN ROY ZAT at::https://royzat.com; Soundcloud, Youtube, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Facebook.
