HOWLIN' GOATZ BAND is a five piece band that hails from Boulder, Colorado. You know with a name like this you have to give them a listen, plus, I bet they are surely a rowdy crew. Need I say more?
The band members are: Scott Higgins-Vocals, lead guitar; Johnny Conrad-Rhythm guitar, vocals; Chris Wright-Bass, vocals; Kim Franco-Percussion, vocals and Jake Coffin-Drums, vocals. Their Music was Mixed and Mastered by Chris Wright.
CHECK TO CHECK kicks off this EP with in-your- face, high powered pure rock and roll. I must admit, they do have a bit of a taste of Black Oak Arkansas which is pretty cool.
They really do go quite nuts in this song, which you need to hear for yourself. I love it. WRONG DIRECTION has a supercool intro as the band is pounding away at you from the very start. This song reminds me a bit of Bloodrock for some reason, which isn't a bad thing.
Love how the bass and drums are really pounding away at you. Come on, sing along. WEED TO SAVE THE WORLD is really a true classic that is one for the books. This is another MUST song to hear. I can just picture that band playing this song and seeing each of them grinning at each other. This is a MUST song to hear.
DANCING IN THE LIGHTNING has a great melody and lyrics that you could surely get into. The song has a bit of a 70's rock feel which is really nice and it fits the band well.
