HARDTACK is quite an interesting three piece band that hails from Grampian, Clearfield and Curwensville, Pa area. They had been making quite a few waves in the local music area. The band is: ETHAN CLARK-Vocals, guitar; JAKE STILES-Vocals, bass and ELI CLARK- Vocals, drums.
You may have noticed the two with the same last name because they are brothers. Also, I'd like to mention, each band member does lead vocals on their songs. This 12 song album was Mixed, Mastered and Produced by Hardtack.
KEEP ME IN MIND kicks off this album with a 60's type of feel from the psychedelic era which is really great to hear. I must admit, I think it's great to hear. Great song.
ALONE FEEL GOOD has a nice two chord riff and they remind of the '60's band called, The Sidekicks. I must admit, this band can grow on you very easily. Quite impressive. FLOATING is a laid back song as they slow the pace up a bit as the melody is sweet and as you listen close to the lyrics. This is quite an interesting song.
I KNOW YOU KNOW is a different offbeat type of song which still has that '60's like feel as their vocals are as strong as ever. The song turns into a punkish feel as quite surprising. Nice job. I
WON'T starts with a super intro as it's laid back once again and then kicks into superb loud rock song. The guitar sound has a Tom Petty type of feel as their music still has that great '60's feel, but they own their own vibe. STRAWBERRY JAM begins this album to an end as the band is playing in high voltage as the vocals are loud and proud.
