GRAHAM PARKER & THE GOLDTOPS: LAST CHANCE TO LEARN THE TWIST

GRAHAM PARKER & THE GOLDTOPS are the true epitome of British rock. Graham Parker has been making albums since the '70's and has quite a catalog of albums. This new 13 song release is brought to you by BIG STIR RECORDS.

The Goldtops are: MARTIN BELMONT-Guitar; GERAINT WATKINS-Keyboards; SIMON EDWARDS- Bass and JIM RUSSELL-Drums. The album was Produced by Parker and Tuck Nelson. The band included some horns backed by the EASY ACCESS ORCHESTRA  and the backing vocal duo, THE LADY BUGS.

THE MUSIC OF THE DEVIL kicks off this album with a simple up-tempo beat that pounds away at you with a great chorus. The band is great as they weave in and out of each other and the beat is as solid as ever. SUN VALLEY has a ballad kind of feel with a great melody that will bring a smile to your face. The song is simple and as sweet as ever. Worth checking out!

WICKED WIT brings the Easy Access Orchestra into play with some great horn vibes that are a perfect fit into this song. I must admit, it's easy to get hooked into this song. CANNABIS is quite a treat with a laid back guitar echoing in the background as it seems as Graham is singing a love song to you.  This is a true classic song,

WE DID NOTHING is a song about venting with a great melody that will stay in your head for days. Listen closely and I'm sure you'll be able to relate. This song will get into your head. LAST  STRETCH OF THE ROAD reminds me of a country song that will have you swaying back and forth to with some sweet harmonica playing. Check it out.

THEM BUGS has a funky reggae beat that is quite a surprise  to this album. The lyrics will give you a good laugh, so listen close to them. I love it. I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to REX BROOME and CHRISTINE BULBENKO for giving me the opportunity to review this great album. I'm very honored.
