GEARY NELSON is a self made musician that was raised in the Chicago suburbs, but was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas. During his teenage years he played in a band called, THE PANIKS, leading to 2 record label deals and they toured the Chicago area and even played on the famous "Dance PartY" TV show based out of Memphis, TN.
On this 9 song album, Geary does everything on this album: Geary plays lead/rhythm guitar, bass, some keyboards and drums, plus vocals, backup vocals. He has his wife, Peggy, sit in on occasions on keyboards.He has Produced, Mixed and Mastered his own music in his recording studio in his house.
DISGUISE IN YOUR EYES kicks off this album with a song that sounds a bit like Walter Egan's, Magnet and Steel, with a dose of the 60's love song entwined in it. This is truly a love song. Nice job. DO YOU MISS HER is another love song that fits him perfectly.
He surely loves the 60's feel love songs that would stay in people's heads forever. The lyrics say it all, so listen close. SWEET LADIES takes on a rock feel that reminds me of the epic 60's rock bands.
I must admit, his lead guitar work is quite impressive in the song. You could easily get hooked on this song. Excellent job, check it out. WALK THAT MILE is another very impressive song by him as his guitar work is pretty flashy once again. The guitar riff sure sounds a bit familiar, but the song is pure rock and roll. Check it out.
WALK WALK is another rock and roll song that fits him well. The lyrics are easy to follow as he once again takes off on his guitar work which is really a class act in itself. WOW! Is all I can say.
