ELLIE WALKER & THE FOLLY hail from Cambridge, UK. Ellie has been performing songs for over two decades with her captivating, unique songs. She joined her band, The Folly, to record these songs over the past ten years. She and the band cover many genres from soul to folk and pop and indie.
THE FOLLY is: MIKE-Guitar; MAX-Bass; MARK-Drums which they all played in various bands over the years. Ellie's brother, Matthew Walker and Clair Hadidjenar joined her in the studio playing violins as Ellie played the flute on my songs.
This 9 song CD was Recorded. Mixed and Mastered by Owen Turner. SINK OR SWIM kicks off this CD in a very folkish way with quite a sweet melody and you'll just love. Ellie's vocals are quite a delight to hear .I must admit, you'll get hooked on this song quickly.
MY HEARTS BEAT ON is a sweet laid back song with a simple rhythm that will have you swaying away to it. I think it's an amazing love song as her vocals are quite outstanding.
STAND IN THE FRAME is a real highlight hearing the violins in the background as she carries the song singing from her heart and soul. You can actually 'feel' this song from the very beginning. Outstanding!
GO HOME is a simple song as the lyrics say it all. The harmonies are quite a delight to hear and she carries the melody making it sound so simple. A real stand-out!
ALWAYS AS IT SEEMS brings this CD to an end and it could not end with a better song. Once again the melody and vocals will make you want more. You'll love this CD once you hear it.
