The DAVE GODDESS GROUP hails from Allentown, Pa and has been around for quite some time. Dave Goddess, who lives in New York City, wrote this CD while he was in 'lockdown' there. He has always been inspired by the likes of vintage rockers like Neil Young, C.C.R., Bob Dylan and so many others.
This is the Dave Goddess Groups sixth CD. The band members on ths 11 song CD are: DAVE GODDESS-Lead vocals, guitars; ROBBIE BOSSERT-Lap steel guitars, pedal steel; CRAIG KASTELNIK-Organ, piano, accordion; NYKE VAN WYK-Violin; MARK BUSHI-Bass guitar, background vocals; CHRIS CUMMINGS-Drums, percussion. June Thomas, Paula Battavio, Judy Brunst, Lauren Davidson, Lindsay Rhodes and Craig Roseberry are on backing vocals.
BACK IN BUSINESS kicks off this CD and seeing the video for this song is quite a treat. I must admit, Dave has quite a very distinctive voice and that makes this band a 'stand out alone' for that reason. ONE WAY TICKET reminds me of a song Bruce Springsteen would be singing. The lyrics and melody to this song is superb. Check it out.
AUTOMATIC SLIM brings a sweet country favor to the band as the steel guitar sounds so sweet and it's quite impressive. This song would make The Byrds happy. BUYER'S REMORSE is quite a highlight to hear as the band shows off their wares in the song. I love it.
BETTER DAYS brings this amazing CD to an end and couldn't end with a better rock song. You are going to have to check it yourself.
