COLOURATURA is a three piece band that hails from the Ohio Valley. This is their fourth release and they are making waves with their 'off the wall' music and sounds. I find this to be a real treat for all listeners. The band is: NATHAN JAMES-Vocals, Bass and some piano; DEREK PAVLIC-Guitars, synths, viola and IAN BEABOUT- Producer, flute, backing vocals, synths and editing.

WTF WAS THAT? is a great instrumental song with drums pounding away in your face and the lead guitar screaming at you. Get really for an unstoppable ride, because here we go! FLIM-FLAM BAND has a great guitar riff throughout the song and if you love Jethro Tull, you'll surely love this song. I must admit, they have a great '70's sound, Are they true hippies in 2023?
SIDE HUSTLE sounds like one of those songs off a Jethro Tull album that was never released. Their vocals are quite a stand out, too. AWAY is a sweet, dark ballad that needs a deep listen to the lyrics. I must admit, the vocals have definite reflections of Ian Anderson. SIMR has a heavy sound as if you are listening to Black Sabbath with a flute added to it. This is straight solid hard rock at its best.
THE LSD NO-NO is a straightforward psychedelic straight from the '70's that should grab your attention. MOTHMAN brings this CD to end in which the flute and bass are standout in this song.I would think you would know who this song is about. I must admit, it reminds me of an old Batman theme in some parts. I'd like to give ANNE LEIGHTON a BIG SHOUT for being in touch and thinking of me.
