BARGAIN SHOPPER CLUB is a five piece band based out of Langley, British Columbia. This band is far from what you might expect with their name title. I truly believe you'll all love them.
The band is: BRAD HADLEY-Vocals, guitar, banjo; REBECCA SMITH-Vocals, fiddle; ERIC Lu-Bass; CHRIS TAYL-Guitar, vocals and TIM HUSTON-Drums. This 11 song CD was Produced by Brad Wristen and [Juno Award Winner] Rick Bouler and Mixed and Mastered by Rick Boulter.
FORT COLLINS [WHEN ARE YOU COMING HOME] starts off this CD and it's quite an epic song done quite tastefully with an amazing melody and quite sharp lyrics. WOW! Is all I can say. THE NERVE reminds me of The Barenaked Ladies, Wish I Had a Million Dollars melody wise and some great harmonies. Check this one out.
FIRST TIME is a sweet bluesy type song that you wouldn't expect from the band. The lyrics are very impressive and says it all. I love it. ONE THING brings out the 'folk' music in them. The vocals are loud and clear as the lyrics creep into your head.
This is quite an impressive song. The brings out a cajun feel of the band which is right on target. The lyrics are sharp, as the band keeps the song together as tight as ever. So sweet. THE ROAD brings this amazing CD to an end with a pop-like song that could easily become a TOP 10 hit.The harmonies are great throughout this CD. This is a MUST band to check out.
