ATOWN SLUTS is the only premier, authentic, true original punk band based out of the Lehigh Valley, Pa in the past 20 years and still going strong. The band members are: JUAN CENA-Guitar, bass, vocals; C VICIOUS-Guitar, bass, drums, vocals and KING ALLENTOWN-Guitar, drums, vocals. They are acclaimed to be the last real punk band in the U.S and the world.
This 16 song CD was Recorded at Dan's House Studio. They kick off this CD with a song titled, ATOWN SLUTS CAN'T PLAY and they definitely have a 'real raw' sound to them, which is to be desired. The vocals are loud and clear as you hear a steady beat of the drums. The guitar work is quite a highlight.
IT WAS WRITTEN is an agglomeration of words flying and the band repeating themselves over and over again. They want to get in your head. HATRIOT has a regular upbeat tempo which they want you to sing along with them. Repeat after me, now sing!
NUKE THE WHALES has a nice riff which is great to hear. This song has more of a pop feel to it, plus, the lead guitar work is quite flashy for an instrumental. QUARANTINE ME is repeated over and over in this song, stating, 'he can't get enough'! Quite interesting.
BORN AGAIN has a different feel to it as the song takes you up and down.The vocals take a while to get used to. 1/6 is quite nice to hear with a different kind of beat. Check this one out. WANNA BE bring this CD to end. The song is quite bouncy with quite a different tinny tone to it. Can you repeat after me? If you're into raw punk, check them out.
