'63 CIRCUS is a three piece band hailing from Los Angeles, California. They are one very strange, unique, extraordinary band you might ever hear in quite some time. The band members are JD McKEAN- Vocals, guitars, keyboards, bass; JC HAGOPIAN-Lead guitar and RC MATHESON-Drums.
This band is quite a trio, to say the least. JD McKean is a shaman that lived in Malibu most of his life and produced over 30 albums. RC Matheson is known for being a world famous writer and JC Hagopian is a professional photographer.
This 3 song E.P. was recorded November 28, 2023. THE PSYCHO RISE starts off this E.P. With a touch of The Doors sound in the intro The song has a great running bass and his voice stands out, Listen closely to the lyrics, you might be able to relate to them.
CAN YOU HEAR ME? is quite an interesting song about a true love that went down the tubes and he has yet to meet his new partner. The lead guitar work is quite a treat. TALE OF THE HARLOT reminds me of the Blind Faith song, "Do What You Like' with Jim Morrison doing the vocals. I feel that is surely a twist to hear.
