CHRIS MURPHY: THE RED ROAD

CHRIS MURPHY grew up in New York City surrounded by all the sounds and the music that he consumed in him. He is a musician, singer/songwriter, composer, arranger and producer whose music influences include jazz, blues and any other type of music you could think of.

When you get a taste of his music there is no doubt you'll be wanting to hear more. The pure rawness and sound of his music will have you wondering why you never heard more of him. This 5 song EP was Produced by Ben Vaughn and Recorded by Charles Brotman with Additional Production by Kevin Jarvis and Mastered by Dave Schultz.

Let me introduce you to: CHRIS MURPHY. I NEVER LEARNED TO DRIVE is a superb song that just highlights his vocals and his violin as pure as raw as it can be. The song is a simple three chord song, but he sure does an epic job of it and more. Start clapping and stomping your feet, because this song surely will do it to you.T

HE RED ROAD has the feel of backcountry type of feel as he really gets carried away in the song. The lyrics are superb in the song as his violin playing is non stop and as perfect as it can be throughout the song. WOW! Amazing.

THE COMPLETE WORKS OF EDGAR ALLEN POE shows a whole new level of his violin playing. The beat is right on the spot throughout this song as it floods away in a nice steady pace. I love the melody and lyrics in this song that really showcases how amazing he is a solo artist. I must admit, he reminds me a bit of John Hartford on steroids. Which, I feel, is a great thing.

He is quite amazing, to say the least and I hope he will be noticed a lot more in the near future. He's really a true star in my books. I'd like to THANK Krista for being in touch. You can find CHRIS MURPHY at: Bandcamp, Deezer, Spotify, Amazon, Music, Apple Music, You tube and other sites. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
