DEFECTING GREY is a very hot, three piece indie power pop alternative punk band that hails from Hightstown, New Jersey. I must admit, the very first time I had just a little taste of this band I was purely impressed and then some.
The band is C J CROGAN-Vocals, guitar; VINCE GROGAM-Bass, backing vocals and MIKE POLILLI-Drums. This 6 EP was Recorded and Mixed by Joe Dell' Acquia and Mastered by John. GIBRALTAR kicks off this EP with a super great melody with lyrics that fit in perfectly. The band is as tight as ever and spot on, on every note they play. Check this song for yourself.
BLIND COUNTRY brings a different taste to the band as they still have the super high powered feel on this song. Do I hear a bit of the Foo Fighters in this song? This song could surely grow on you in no time. Look out. CIRCUITS is another great high tempo song that will have you rockin' out in no time.
The melody and lyrics are superb in this song as the band hails away from the very start. Pretty sweet song. LOW STATUS SOUND brings this EP to an end as the song is a bit laid back as the melody and lyrics are perfect in the song. I think they have a bit of a 'Sponge' feel in this song, but the band truly owns this song. I like the surprise ending when the band speeds it up a bit and smacks you around.
