JOEY STEBANUK: SEVENTH CYCLE

MEET JOEY STEBANUK: We all have guitar hero's that we all love like: Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and the list goes on and on. Well, let me introduce you to: Joey Stebanuk, guitarist that hails from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada.

He is solo guitarist/instrumentalist on this album with the help of Trevor Greenbank that plays some keys on this album. Also, some of the music you hear on this album might sound like synths, but it was done all with his guitar. This 10 song album was Produced, Mixed and Mastered by Trevor Greenbank.

GRASPING NOMENCLATURE kicks off this album with spacey guitar sounds preparing you to go on a journey with him. Get ready for the ride. SEVENTH CYCLE will totally blow you away from the very first note he plays for you. You might even hear some of your favorite guitarists in his riffs. Crank it up loud.

SHE DOES MAGIC has a super cool melody as he keeps it a bit simple. I must admit, this song has a Carlos Santana type of feel to it. The beat is bound to get to you, as his guitar playing will sweep you away. So sweet. GRAN BWA LIE takes another different taste of his guitar playing in a type of spacey song that will have you floating away. I must admit, it has a bit of a 'jam favor' to it. Check it out.

ESCAPE has a bit of a jazzy taste as the beat goes on and off in this song. There is no doubt, this sure is some jazzy funk until he unloads his guitar playing on you and look out. Let it rip and then some. WOW! Is all I can say!

PEACE MOTHER EARTH brings this epic album to an end. The song starts out a bit mellow and slowly builds up into a solid heavy riff and slowly takes you back down again. Look out. I'd like to THANK JOEY for being so modest and cool about everything. Be on the lookout for him on: Bandcamp, Spotify, You tube, Pandora, Apple Music, Deezer and other sites. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
