JASON MONTERO knows the music business since he's been in it for 30 years. He grew in New Jersey where his music influences inspired him as he later moved to New York, around the Five Finger Lake area. In that area, he taught himself to play guitar as he later transplanted himself again in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
This is where he released his first album, Inside Out, which includes several musician friends of his. The band is: Jason Montero-Vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, bass and percussion; Dave Jakobson/ Michael Babrick-Electric guitar; Bryan Miller-Didgeridoo; Joe Frost-Congos; Paul Rugolo-Bass and Andy Simon-Harmony vocals.
This 10 song album was Recorded and Produced by Jeon Montero and Mixed and Mastered at Raincat Recording Studios. CONCLUSIVE ILLUSIONS kicks off the album with a guitar raw like tone which stands out by itself. I must admit, it reminds me a bit of early Traffic, as the vocals come in. The melody has abit of an overtone and the lyrics hold up well. Nice job.
NO JAMES DEAN has quite a funky bass pattern as the guitar tone once again stands out. You can easily get into this song as it has a bluesy type feel. Sweet. FROM THE THINGS I SAID once again takes a different feel as the guitar vibe is highlighted once in this song. The song has a very strong melody and lyrics that say it all. Check it out.
MARVEL AT THE RAINBOW is a real laid back back song as the lyrics flow along great with the melody in this song. I love the feel and the overall sound of this song. WOW! HER MAJESTY'S LIST brings an end to this album with a sweet acoustic which is superb throughout the song. Great way to end an Epic album. I'd like to THANK JASON for being in touch.
