BREAKAWAY-NE is a three piece band that hails from Newcastle, England. They were created out of the Encore Rock Project that placed musicians together that haven't played in years.
They consider themselves as an alternative indie rock band. The band is very strong as far as the lyrics they wrote in each song. The band members are: Paul Munson-Lead vocals, bass guitar; Andy Lawne-Lead guitar, background vocals and Stephen Dewar-Drums and backing vocals.All their music was Mixed and Produced by the band.
THIN SKIN has one of the coolest guitar intros I heard in a long time. The intro has a Mark Knopfler type of feel, but it stands out on its own. There is no doubt this song could easily grow on you. Supercool song.
WHIRLPOOLS is a laid back song in the intro and then they kick it in for a bit and go back into their laid back sound once again. The song is quite interesting, regardless.
BEE STING has the sound of the '60's British rock bands as the sound of the guitar has a Hollies type feel The lyrics and melody are quite interesting in the song as they repeat the title of the song over and over again.
