FRONT & MAIN: LOOK BOTH WAYS

FRONT & MAIN is quite an interesting band that hails from the Fingers Lake and Ithaca, N.Y. area. They are considered to be a modern, soulful, ballad rock band that has their own vibe.

The band is: Paul Shotwell-Vocals; Michael Wu-Guitars, bass, background vocals; Mary Tewlsbury-Guitars, background vocals; Brain Tyneway-Guitars; Jacob Kurtz-Bass; Samuel B Lupowitz-Keyboards and Al Miele-Drums and several other musically guests.

This 6 song EP was Engineered by Chris Ploss, Randy McStine and Mike Micha and Mixed and Mastered by Randy McStine and Produced by Michael Wu. THROWING STONES kicks off this Ep with a rockin' type bluesy song that has some amazing hooks that you can surely get your groove on. The song is as strong as ever and it grows on you fast. Crank it up.

WHEN I'M GONE is a sweet , laid back song as the lyrics and melody stands out on its own. I must admit, it reminds me a bit of a C,S,N & Y as the slow pace is steadfast throughout the whole song. I love it. WATCHING THE STARS has a solid beat from the first note you hear as the melody is as strong as ever. I love the fact they have a sound of their own that is quite impressive in this day and age.

ON THE EDGE [Muad'Dib's Lament] brings an end to this album with a loud guitar riff that will surely grab your attention. I must admit, it has a kind of Down By The River Neil Young type of sound. The song still stands out on it's own, regardless and you can't help but to 'feel' every note and beat in this song. WOW! You will really be blown away when you hear this song. I'd like to THANK the band for being in touch. You can find that at: Bandcamp, Facebook, www.frontandmainband.com, You tube, Spotify and other sites. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
