THE HALF/CUBES releases a double 24 song CD/ Album of some obscure songs and well known pop songs that you will surely recognize from somewhere or another. This is far from the everyday pop songs you would hear on the radio or might have had some airplay at one time.
The band is: RANDY KLAWON-Electric and acoustic guitars; GARY FRENAY-Lead vocals, bass and acoustic guitars and TOMMY ALLEN-Vocals, bells and whistles, drums and percussion. Some of the guests that appeared on this album include: Rob Bonfiglo, Danny Malone, Billy and Bobby Alessi, Nik Fenay, Mark Hudson, Jon Rubin,Tommy Dunbar, Bob Pence, Bertolf and several others.
LOVER'S MELODY kicks off this album with their rendition of a song by The Searchers which they do quite an impressive version of. Their pop feel is pure magic and then some. I love it. THE DEAN AND I is superb from the very note and will want to get up and dance.
Crank this song up and rock out. WOW! MY GIRL features Darian Sahanaja, Matt Jardine, Jim Laspera that sounds alot like the Beach Boys with some amazing harmonies that will blow you away.
How can you not like this type of music? WOW! PRECIOUS TO ME is done by the band and once again they hold their own in this song and fits them well. I'm sure you'll love their version, too. THE GIRL features Jon Rubin and Tommy Dunbar with a superb pop song that melody and lyrics are right on the money.
Very, very impressive. NOT WHERE IT'S AT is another superb pop song the band does and they surely know what they are great at playing. Playing pop music fits them well. SHE'S SO YOUNG features Mo Berg is a great toe-tapping song as you listen to the superb melody and lyrics.
I wonder how many can relate to this song? Think about it. SOMEDAY is another song by the band that will surely grow on you. The band will totally amaze you with each song they play. JANE features Van Buren will have you rocking aways as the melody and lyrics will stay with you for quite some time.
So, so sweet. ALL FOR A REASON features Nick Frenay, Billy & Bobby Alessi which definitely has the Alessi's feel throughout the song as the melody night sounds a bit familiar to you. Check it out. DISAPPEARING features John Savannah as he and the band have a '80's type feel.
This song can have you swaying away to this song Great job. TELL SOMEONE YOU LOVE THEM features Rob Bonfiglio which is a superb song from beginning to end that will have you rockin' away. I love it. BEST DAYS ON EARTH brings this amazing album to an end as this band is as tight as ever throughout this album. This is MUST ALBUM to have in your CD/Vinyl collection.
