SONS OF REGRET is a four piece band that hails from Bloomington, Pa. This defunct band has recorded music from 1989 to 1996. The band members are: SAM SCHERER-Vocals, harmonica; RUSTY SULZMANN-Guitar; DAVE PORTER-Bass and MIKE CUFFIA-Drums.
This 10 song CD was Produced by Mike Cuffia and Rusty Sulzman and Recorded and Mixed by Mike Kelsey. NEW MISTAKES kicks off this CD and the band has reflections of Pearl Jam in the way their music is played. They have that great raunchy, raw feel to their music.
THE JOKE has a nice, sweet intro that is quite superb. I like their sound and the feel of this song. This song would make the band, Poison, proud. This song really deserved some airplay. This song can stand up to this generation's music with ease.
JUST LIKE YOU is high adrenaline in your face type of song. The band is super solid on every note and they will just blow you away. I love their guitar riffs in this song. Amazing. Stand back and look out. SAME OLD THING has a sweet singing intro as it seems a bit soulful at times. This song seems to go through quite a few stages, but the band is fast and steady throughout the song. Very, very impressive.
SAY IT RIGHT once again starts out very laid back as the band kicks in at different parts of the song. The vocals are top notch on every note. This is a MUST song to hear, by all means.
AMBIVALENCE brings an end to this album and it still has the Pearl Jam feel. I find this band amazing, because they had their own groove and went in-noticed for so many years.
