JAMES EICHELBERGER is a self taught mandolin, guitar and ukulele and Baritone ukulele player that hails from Saxton, Pa. Also he plays around with other instruments such as the fiddle, lap steel, ocarina, harmonica and other instruments.
In real life, James is quite a Renaissance man and more. He wrote a song titled, " Condom Machine Blues' that was featured on the Dr. Demento Show. The show was aired on his show on 9/13/1998 and 5/3/2014.
You can find him playing shows at several Open Mikes such as the Spring Dam Brewery, in Roaring Spring, Pa and he has played as opening act at Mass 'n' The Grass Fest in 2023 and will be playing there in 2024.
He also played live at the CRE814 on 9/23/2023 which was another local Music Festival. He has lived in Pittsburgh, San Antonio, Albuquerque, Charlestown, R.I, East Fairfield, Vt and several other areas in the U.S. He has always lived on the side of a mountain whenever he could.
He attended College at Penn State and various campuses over the years, and also writes most of his music in his car as per the bad radio reception in the area. He is quite a Gem in the area and always interested in what he might be paying next.
He uses his IPAD to record his songs on camera and then uploads them on YouTube. He is as 'real' as real can be and quite a genius in his own right. A WOMAN IN HER PRINE kicks off this music review which has excellent lyrics and a sweet melody that is a bit laid back. He has a very distinctive voice that you'll notice from the very first note.
REDNECK SUNDOWN TOWN starts out with playing notes on ukulele, you might be able to catch a few licks on the intro. The song can relate to a lot of areas when you listen to his lyrics. Check it out.
WHAT THE JUKEBOX SAW is a fast tempo song as he tells his story of what it would be like seeing what a jukebox sees as people dance and do other things. Supercool song.
THE LOTTERY SONG is about all the dreamers that want to win the lottery and what they would do with it. The story tells what happens when they do. Listen closely to this song, he speaks the truth.
BUT A STAGE brings this review to an end. This song has a laid back melody as he sings this song with all his heart and soul. The story line is very strong once again. Listen very, very close and 'get it'. I'd like to THANK JAMES for being in touch with me and he has also been a good friend of mine since we first met. I'm very honored. You can find James at: You tube, where he showcases many songs and at: Facebook and other sites ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
