THE SCHIZO MAFIA is a one man show, by the name of Eric Duhamel, that hails from Calgary Alberta Canada. He is a multi instrumentalist that plays guitar, keyboards and uses various digit tracks to produce his rhythm section.
He has, also, Produced, Mixed and Mastered his own music.
TRIPPIN' OUT starts out this 12 song release with some very interesting sounds. I must admit, this song is quite good, as the beat is right on and the guitar parts fit right into place. Pretty sweet, check it out.
FEEL BETTER brings a whole new beat pattern as it has a disco like beat. The melody is nice and could easily grow on you. Get on the dance floor and dance. Crank it up and get into it. I'm sure the neighbors would love it. DEAD END TOWN has a new wave feel to it as it reminds me of Yello.
The lyrics are great to hear as the melody has the great '80's punk like feel. New wave music will never die. BEAT ME UP has another disco-like beat to it as his lyrics tell a story. I can see the lights spinning as this song goes on.
Get out there and dance or put your roller skates on. Get your groove on for this one. DON'T BE MEAN brings his sound to another level again which is nice to hear. His vocals fit in perfectly with the music he makes, which says a lot. He is always right on the spot with all his songs and it's all about the groove.
SUMMERTIME is totally different from all the previous songs which is quite a surprise. This song is more laid back with a perfect melody and lyrics to fit. Quite impressive, to say the least.
