TONI VERE is quite an amazing singer from Calgary Alberta, Canada. Her songs are made up of stories she's been through in her life with a folkish country flavor. She already has five albums under her belt and I'm sure there's more to come.
Toni does all vocals and plays guitar, piano and harmonica. She also plays with other musicians and they are: Carla Olive-Guitars, keys. back up vocals; Kelly Timleck-Bass, backup vocals; Greg Godovitz-Guitar, Bass, back up vocals; Mike Little-Keyboards and David Andrew Wiebe-Guitar.
The songs selected in this music review are from several of her albums. TRY kicks off this review with an excellent song with a supercool melody and great lyrics. This song will grow on you fast. The song is simple but still holds its own. I love it.
I'M OK [F$&k Ya] is a story about being bullied at work and finally leaving it behind. I'm quite sure many of us can relate to that song. I know I was there myself and it was not good. Check this song out. LEVI STRAUSS is a great story about the name of the bluejeans about what she and the blue jeans have been through. I'm sure many of us can relate to that song.
Her lyrics are amazing as per her melodies. SANE seems to have a familiar intro as she sings to us about being sane, if any of us are. Check this song and the lyrics are so real and think about it. You might even laugh a bit. Epic song. WASTED has a whole different tone to it, as it seems there are echoes in the song. The song itself is quite a gem and the change does justice to the song.
THIS OLD HEART has an excellent country favor to it that should hit home with you..The lyrics again are outstanding as I'm sure you could easily relate to them. You won't be able to get enough of this song. I love it.
DO YOU LOVE ME is another superb song that makes you question yourself. So many questions and where are the answers? This song is timeless in so many ways. I love it.
