SCEPTOCRYPT is a Maltese band that has been together for 24 years. The band has a new lineup and is back making new music for all to hear. They have, also, relocated the band to London in the U.K.
The current band includes: MALCOLM CALLUS- Founder, guitars, backing vocals [1992-1999,2014-2015-2022; DIP ROY-Bass-2023; ANDREA PARO-Noize, synths-2023. They are currently seeking a drummer, vocalist and synth/guitarist.
THE WARDS OUTSIDE [2024] kicks off their new release which definitely has a strange, but great rock feel to it. The song is quite long and goes through a few different levels, but will surely get your attention.
ORATORIO MORTEM 2: THE UNWANTED REQUIEM [2023] brings the band to a whole new level. This song has a Pink Floyd feel to it, which is very interesting. Listen close and you can feel yourself playing the guitar notes as they make you drift away to another time and place. This song is quite a gem.
AMARANTH SO PUISSANT [Played live in 1997] is a bit demented as there are screams and contant beats going on. This song lasts a half an hour, so hang on to your seats.ORATORIO MORTEM [1997] is really different in which the band is all playing something different and they have a zone of their own. This is like jazz meets acid music, plus a bit of heavy metal.
POOR CROWS, GIVE 'EM A DEAL [1997]is another interesting song which reminds a bit of the band, Family. This band really stands out alone for various reasons. They owe what they play and they want to take you on their trip.
