GUILLERMO MARIGIANO originally is from Argentina and now is based out of Calif, L.A. This band is: Guillermo Marigiano-Guitar; Josh Nelson-Piano; John Leftwich-Bass and Aaron Serfaty-Drums.
I, also, would like to mention he used different musicians on the Alfa & Omega album. This new band played on his latest song titled, Inner Path.On the Inner Path 3 song E.P, it was Produced by Guillermo Marigiano and Mixed and Mastered by Talley Sherwood.
ALFA & OMEGA kicks off with a song titled, BEYOND, which is pure electric jazz as it should be played. I must admit, it is very, very impressive to hear. Reminds me a bit of Al Di Meola. WAY HOME is laid back a bit as each musician takes their role playing each part right on time and on key. WOW! Is all I can say.
BOEDO LOW END has an outstanding bass intro that reminds me of Stanley Clark. So sweet. I love this one. INNER PATH kicks off with LA SAMBA which is so great. This song could take you into the smoky room of a jazz club with people just watching and drinking at their table and being in awe of the band.
TANGO BLUES is a true gem that would make Chick Corea proud and then some. I must admit, I love hearing true jazz as it should be played and these two CD's are quite a gem.
