GROOVE DOCTORS 3 hail from East Lansing, Michigan and all are doctors in real life. I feel with you knowing that, this should be quite an interesting band. The band is: MIKE LAWERENCE-Guitar, bass. vocals and Prof. of Law; DICK BOURGAULT-Piano/keyboards; GLENN CHAMBERS-Bass and Prof.of History and DAVID STOWE-Drums and Prof. of Religious Studies.
They are all longtime friends and play jazz, rock and R&B music and cover songs. This 10 song CD was Mixed, Produced and Mastered by Dick Bourgault. LOVE IS THE WAY starts off this CD with a raw guitar sound which is nice to hear. Their harmonies sound great as they go through this song. Quite interesting.
ASH TO DUST has harmonies that remind of Simon and Garfunkel The keyboards sound nice in the background of the song. PEACE WITHIN has a reggae beat which is really cool to hear. I believe this band can play any type of music. WAVE is really different with a jazzy rock flavor to it. I really like hearing the bass run in this song.
SUNSHINE SUPERMAN is their version of the Donovan song. They really do a great job of it , plus, it's a 'singalong song' too. Great job. I want to THANK MIKE LAWERENCE for being in touch with me.
