JON POROBIL: THE CAMOUFLAGE KID

JON POROBIL spent his childhood in New Orleans and made his life in Pittsburg, Pa making music. Jon's music speaks for itself and all the different types of genres of music that he plays which includes pop, country, synthpop, folk punk and much more.

John plays every instrument on this album and mixed and mastered it in his own home studio. The Guests that played on this album include: Brad Yoder-Saxophone; Barylee Pierce-Clarinet and Lorelal Paige-Backing Vocals. The concept of this album is about trauma and self discovery in the world which I find very interesting.

PRELUDE starts off this album which reminds me a bit of the Alan Parsons Project, which you know it can't be bad. I love the stages this song goes through.MY NAME IS JON is a prelude to how Jon's life has been in general , so far. WAKE THE DEMONS has a bit of familiar piano riff that will remind you a bit of Supertramp. The melody is quite a delight to hear as Jon sings his heart out.

HERE TODAY has a whole new different feel for the intro and then it suddenly kicks into good old sweet rock and roll. I hear an Elvis imitation in this song? Check it out. ADVICE SONG reminds me a bit of Andy Pratt meets Henry Gross in this song. This song is quite a gem and sweet to the ears.

THE CAMOUFLAGE KIDS brings this album to an end which takes you through several stages as the song goes on. This song is , definitely, worth checking out with a sweet guitar solo. I want to THANK JON POROBIL for being in touch. You can find Jon Porobil at: Bandcamp. Facebook,You tube, Amazon, Soundcloud, Apple Music and other sites. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE]
