PANALURE needs a required taste of music to listen to and has many varieties of flavors to them. The band hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and their music is quite surprising.
The band is: FRED ZIEGLER-Vocals, rhythm guitar; MICHAEL DeBOER-Guitar, Lap steel; BON JENNINGS- Keyboards; SUSAN NICHOLSON-Violin; KEN HANSON-Bass; BOB SCHNEIDER-Drums and KARI HOFF-Backing Vocals.
This 8 song Cd was Produced, Mixed, Recorded and Mastered by Fred Ziegler. ETHAN & JANICE starts off this CD which is quite jazzy with a taste of The Blues Project meets Steely Dan. This is a mellow yet very intriguing song to hear. DRAGONFLY has a great laid back feel that has a Neil Young favor with a violin added to the music. The melody is very, very sweet on this song. I love it.
THE PICTURES has a bit of a country flavor with a folkish feel. Listen close to the lyrics and you might be able to relate. This song is a true gem. THE WEIGHT has a Pink Floyd taste to it as the lap guitar seems to be a bit haunting in it. All the puzzle pieces fit so well together in this song.
BLUES AWAY brings this CD to an end it couldn't end with a better song as his vocals sound like Bob Dylan. This is one very quite extraordinary band and I hope to hear a lot more from them in the near future. I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to KEN HANSON for being in touch. You can find the band on: You tube, Facebook, Apple Music, Soundcloud, Amazon, Spotify and other sites. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
