THE SORTERS is a five piece band that hails from the Towanda, Pa area. The band has been playing over ten years together and they have a very unique sound in which they can call their own.
Their music is quite refreshing and rejuvenating to the ears and it's great 'feel good' music. The band members are: SPENCER PUZAK-Guitar, vocals; DANNY SCOPELLITI-Lead guitar; SAM KROTZER- Mandolin, harmonica; KYLE ROBERTSI Bass; CALLIE SHUMWAY-Cello, keys and JAMES DUFORT-Drums
Their mixture of music is a combination of folk, Americana, blues and Altrock. Their music was Mixed and Mastered by Spencer Puzak and Produced by John Marsden. They are making quite a few for themselves and , recently, appeared on WPSU: THE LOCAL GROOVE.
MATERIALISTIC ME is a great song with a sweet 'upswing' that has a great groove you could get into. The lyrics and melody are bound to get you as you listen closely. Pretty darn sweet song to hear.
WINDOW truly shows off the wear of all the band members and Callie truly shines throughout the song.I must admit, they are NOT your run of the mill band. I love this song.
SAD LONG STORY has a bit of a Simon and Garfunkel feel and the harmonices sound so refreshing. This song is so great on many levels. Stay tuned. NUT SHACK has a much different feel to it that will have you wondering, where did this come from. Check it out.
PICK POCKETS AND LOOSE WOMEN you almost call a 'cute song' and the lyrics will surely give you a laugh as their harmonices are right on.So great! Be on the look out for this band. I want to give SPENCER PUZAK a BIG SHOUT OUT for being in touch. You can find the band at: Facebook, You Tube, Deezer, Pandora, Apple Music, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Soundcloud, PBS and Instagram. ROCK ON, JIM ALLFORD [STEEL NOTES MAGAZINE.]
